Mode of Action

Cymoxanil 8% + Mancozeb 64% WP is a systemic benzenoid fungicide. Cymoxanil belongs to the Acylamine group, which disrupts nucleic acid synthesis, halting fungal growth from within. Mancozeb, a dithiocarbamate fungicide, affects the fungal nervous system through its primary metabolite, carbon disulfide. It disrupts enzymes containing sulphydryl groups, interfering with multiple biochemical processes within the fungal cell's cytoplasm and mitochondria. As a multisite protective fungicide, Mancozeb inhibits spore germination, remains on leaf surfaces, and targets six different biochemical processes in the fungal pathogen. This combination provides comprehensive internal and external protection and is highly effective against diseases such as downy mildew in grapes, damping off, and tobacco black shank.
